Teen Girl Sentenced For Killing Motorcyclist While Driving Drunk

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4) - A teenage girl who was driving drunk when she hit and killed a motorcyclist has been sentenced.

Last April prosecutors say Samantha Esparza, 16, was driving without a valid driver's license. She also had a blood alcohol level of .09 and a car full of passengers. She was speeding through Commerce City when she crashed into Gary Melillo head-on.

Esparza pleaded guilty as an adult but was sentenced as a juvenile. She has been sentenced to up to two years in a youth corrections facility.
