Teen Found Stuffed In Suitcase Died Of 'Drug Intoxication'

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say the death of an 18-year-old woman whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase in western Colorado was drug-related.

Mesa County chief deputy coroner Victor Yahn said Tuesday that Kelly Myers died of a mixed drug overdose but that the circumstances of how she died are still being investigated.

Investigators believe Myers died at a hotel in the Salt Lake City suburb of West Valley City where she had been staying.

Two men believed to be connected to her death are under arrest on unrelated drug charges.

West Valley City police say 30-year-old Eduardo Nasario De La Cruz rented the hotel room and 47-year-old Raymond Cordova later tossed the suitcase with her body inside.
