Teacher Brings Pot To School, Says It Wasn't Hers
ARVADA, Colo. (CBS4) - CBS4 News has confirmed a teacher inadvertently brought marijuana to Oberon Middle School in Arvada.
Jeffco Public Schools confirms students saw the bag of marijuana and questioned the teacher about it.
The marijuana was in a suitcase brought to the school by the teacher.
The teacher claimed it was not hers.
Schools officials released a statement about this incident to CBS4, and the following is an excerpt:
Last Wednesday, March 11, 2015, students were gathered at Oberon Middle School for a meeting to discuss an upcoming trip out of the country. It was reported to us that during the course of the meeting a teacher may have violated one or more of our policies. A thorough investigation was completed and appropriate action was taken in accordance with our policies.
