Taxi Driver Shot In Head With BB Gun

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - Aurora police advised the public to stay out of an area at Chambers Road and Smith Road early Tuesday morning after a taxi driver was shot in the head with a BB gun.

A taxi driver was injured at the intersection approximately 6:06 a.m. during an altercation between a juvenile and two adult males.

According to Aurora police, the juvenile and adult males were involved in a marijuana selling transaction that became violent after the juvenile, who was allegedly buying the pot, was upset he received less than the agreed upon amount.

The alleged seller, one of the adult males, was upset that the juvenile paid for the pot with counterfeit money.

At one point, police said the juvenile jumped on the hood of the taxi and tried to stop the driver from driving away before the taxi driver was shot. The driver was treated and expected to recover.
