Suspicious Package Found On Edgewater Lawn

EDGEWATER, Colo. (CBS4)- A suspicious package was found on a lawn in Edgewater on Wednesday morning. A homeowner reported it to police.

Copter4 flew over the scene at 22nd and Harlan. West Metro Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene along with the Jefferson County Bomb Squad.

While crews took X-rays of the package, streets were shutdown. Police say that area is safe and not a threat to the public.
