Suspicious Bag Probed At Colorado Springs Airport

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP/CBS4) — Passengers and workers have been cleared from part of the Colorado Springs airport as authorities inspect a suspicious bag.

In a statement, airport spokeswoman Heather Lenard says the bag arrived on an American Airlines flight from Dallas/Fort Worth around noon on Friday. The Colorado Springs bomb squad is using a robot to inspect the bag.

The Colorado Springs Police Department cleared the scene just after 2 p.m. No one was injured.

The airport says during the investigation people were cleared from the north and east side of the airport's concourse as a precaution and operations are continuing on its west side.

No details have been released about what raised suspicions about the bag.
