Suspect Who Shot At Aurora Officer Charged
DENVER (CBS4) - A man accused of firing a gun toward an Aurora police officer on Jan. 3 will be charged with assault, the district attorney's office in Denver said Thursday.
Prosecutors said Omari Cook-Nunn, 20, shot at an officer who was responding to reports of gunfire at an apartment complex on South Havana Street early Saturday morning. He was then shot by the officer, and treated and released. He's held in Denver jail on $100,000 bond.
He's scheduled to appear in court on Friday for an advisement hearing.
