Suspect Who Crashed Into School Bus, Attempted Carjacking, Identified

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (CBS4)- The suspect believed to have crashed into a school bus and then tried to carjack four other drivers has been identified.

Deputies said Roger Trujillo was under the influence when he ran a red light on Highway 85. He allegedly crashed into a school bus.

The incident happened in Castle Rock near Highway 85 and Meadows Parkway Tuesday afternoon. Deputies say Trujillo ran a red light and was hit by another car. According to the sheriff's office, after being hit, the suspect's car jumped the median and crashed into a school bus.

Deputies say Trujillo, 24, then got out of the car and started running. In an attempt to get away they say he then tried to get into at least four vehicles near the scene. While attempting to carjack a vehicle a good Samaritan tackled the suspect and held him on the ground until deputies arrived.

Trujillo is facing 13 separate charges including DUI, reckless driving and robbery.
