Suspect In Deadly South Dakota Shooting Arrested In Colorado

THORNTON, Colo. (AP) - A man identified as the primary suspect in the shooting death of a Rapid City man has been arrested in Colorado.

Police say 33-year-old Mark Heinen was apprehended Thursday in Thornton, Colorado. Authorities are working to extradite him to South Dakota. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Heinen was wanted in the June 17 death of 23-year-old KiaweWalker. Police say Walker walked into a Burger King restaurant with a bullet wound and asked employees for help. Emergency workers who responded to the scene were unable to save him.

His death has been rule a homicide.
