Summit School District Cancels Classes Because Teachers Stranded On Spring Break

FRISCO, Colo. (CBS4) - The Summit School District announced they had to cancel classes on Monday because too many teachers got stranded during spring break because of Colorado's spring snowstorm.

"Due to the untimely Denver snowstorm many of the Summit School District staff have had their return flights from Spring Break canceled and have been unable to return home," the district said in a statement. "In checking in with our staff we have inventoried the flight cancellation impact and in some schools as many as 50 percent of staff have been unable to get flights home."

The district said they don't have enough staff or substitutes to hold school on Monday. Classes will resume on Tuesday.
