Summer Tubing Hill Opens In Grand County
GRAND COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - As the temperatures climb, wouldn't snow tubing be a great way to cool down? Well, it's not just for winter anymore.
Now there's a summer tubing hill open in Colorado located at the Snow Mountain Ranch near Granby where it was still 82 degrees on Tuesday. CBS4's Justin McHeffey took the Mobile Weather Lab for a visit.
The summer snow tubing hill at Snow Mountain Ranch, which opened last week, is the first to open in Colorado and the third in the country.
Snow Mountain Ranch is located off U.S. 40 between Fraser and Granby.
Those who stay at the ranch can use the tubing hill for free. For those just visiting to use the hill it's $35 for adults and $25 for kids.
The hill, which is made with synthetic snow, also includes misters that cool tubers off on the way down.
