Student Crashes On Bike, Gets Hit By Car

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) - A student crashed on a bicycle on Monday morning and wound up getting hit by a car.

The crash happened shortly after 7 a.m. at Miramonte Boulevard and Main Street, which is close to Broomfield High School.

The female student was described as being high-school aged, but it's not clear if she is a student at Broomfield high. She was taken to the hospital and it appeared her injuries were not life threatening.

Police said she initially crashed when her bike slipped on ice.
