1 Rescued After Getting Stuck On Island In Platte

BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters had to rescue someone Sunday after they got stuck on an island in the Platte River.

The person was camping on the island overnight when water levels rose and they weren't able to get to shore Sunday morning.

Brighton firefighters responded and launched a boat to rescue them.

Everyone, thankfully, made it back on shore safely.
