Strong Wind Gusts Fuel Wildfire Burning In Larimer County

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A wildfire burning in the Bobcat Ridge Nature Area in Larimer County was fueled by strong winds on Thursday evening.

The so-called Bobcat Powerline Fire started about one mile southwest of Masonville and Horsetooth Reservoir just after 4 p.m.

Fire crews from Loveland Fire estimate the fire at 20-25 acres. Winds were gusting about 60 mph in the area where the fire was burning.

Crews were challenged by difficult access to the fire.

What caused the fire is unknown.
