Stolen Car Tracked Across State Lines Using GPS, Suspects Captured

LARAMIE, Wyo. (CBS4) - Police captured two people who were driving a stolen car thanks to technology.

The car, a BMW, was taken from the Denver metro area and the thieves drove it to Wyoming.

Police were able to track the vehicle throughout the course of the attempted getaway because it has a security feature that allows for GPS tracking.

Whenever the driver was pursued by police they started speeding, and a deputy in Laramie was finally able to put down stop sticks, which ended the chase.
