Never Mind Politics, There's Another Kind Of Protest Happening In Colorado

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Political protests took a backseat for another important issue on Saturday -- snow, or the lack thereof.

People were spotted in Steamboat Springs wondering where the winter weather is. Their signs were a play on popular political catchphrases like "Hashtag Make Colorado Snow Again" and "Powder to The People."

They got their wish in some parts of the high country. CBS4 viewer Laurie Talbott sent in video of the flakes falling in Winter Park.

CBS4's Jamie Leary was at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area on Sunday. She took a slow-motion video of the flakes falling there.

CBS4 Meteorologist Dave Aguilera predicts that it won't be long now until snow falls in the Denver metro area.
