Steamboat, Crested Butte Open For Season

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — More Colorado ski areas are opening for Thanksgiving weekend.

Steamboat and Crested Butte opened Wednesday with fresh snow. Steamboat says it's had 21 inches in the last three days while Crested Butte says it's gotten that much over the last week. Steamboat is starting the season with the most terrain it's had open in the last five years.

Snowmass and Telluride both plan to open Thursday.

Meanwhile, Aspen Mountain, which opened last week, will be hosting women's World Cup races on Saturday and Sunday.
