Spring Gulch Fire Burning Near Deckers

DECKERS, Colo. (CBS4)- The Spring Gulch Fire has burned 11 acres in the Pike National Forest about three miles south of Deckers on Monday. It was fully contained just a few hours later.

The fire is on federal land in Douglas County. Wildland firefighting crews and helicopter support are battling the fire along with the Douglas County Wildfire Mitigation Crew and Douglas County Sheriff Wildland Fire Handcrew.

There have not been any evacuations or pending evacuations. No homes or buildings are at risk from the fire.

There are several fires burning in Colorado. The smoke seen in the area of the Spring Gulch Fire is primarily from the Hayden Pass Fire burning in Fremont County.

The Spring Gulch Fire is burning in the Hayman burn area, the largest wildfire in Colorado history.
