Sportsmen's Expo Activities Abound For Kids, Too

DENVER (CBS4) - The International Sportsmen's Expo continues this weekend with outdoors activities for hunters, anglers and fans of the outdoors.

But activities aren't limited to adults.

"This isn't just about the big kids. This is about the little kids, too," Howard Horton, an officer with the state Division of Parks and Wildlife, said Friday.

Horton talked with CBS4's Dave Aguilera about fishing tanks in which kids can catch live fish, an exhibit that spawns fish and a junior officer booth that teaches kids about working with Parks and Wildlife.

"There are lots of things to touch, feel, see and do for the little kids," Horton said.

The International Sportsmen's Expo is at the Colorado Convention Center Thursday through Sunday. Adults are $15 and children under 16 are free.
