Sports Authority To Auction Customer Data
DENVER (CBS4)- Sports Authority won't just be auctioning off the naming rights to Sports Authority Field, the company also plans to auction off customer data.
According to the private company holding the auction, the customer data includes 25 million email addresses.
Customers gave Sports Authority their information when they signed up for the sporting goods retailer's rewards program.
The deadline for bids for the auction is June 27.
