'Spice' Kingpin Gets 5 Years In Federal Prison
DENVER (CBS4) - A U.S. District Court judge in Denver has sentenced a man accused of distributing synthetic marijuana -- or spice -- around the country.
Prosecutors say John Bowen's drugs sent more than 220 people to the emergency room in Colorado in the fall of 2013. The majority of the victims were between the ages of 12 and 29.
Bowen was sentenced to five years in federal prison.
Seven other people were convicted and sentenced in relation to the investigation.
