Southwest Cancels Flights; Frontier, United Issue Travel Waivers Before Storm

DENVER (CBS4)- There are changes to some flights at Denver International Airport in advance of Wednesday's storm that is expected to bring snow and blowing snow to the Denver metro area.

Southwest Airlines has cancelled 30 departures and 28 arrivals scheduled between Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Frontier Airlines and United Airlines have issued travel waivers for passengers flying into or out of DIA who wish to re-book their flight without a penalty.

Each airline has different contingencies for the revision in travel plans.

The Denver metro area is under a winter weather advisory starting at 10 p.m. Tuesday. The eastern plains are under a blizzard warning.

As always, DIA recommends that passengers double check their flight information before leaving for the airport.
