South Platte Water Levels Drop, Some Restrictions Lifted

DENVER (CBS4) - The water level in the South Platte River are finally starting to drop, and officials in two counties have lifted the recreational restrictions they have had in place.

The sheriffs in Jefferson County and Douglas County have lifted those restrictions.

Several people died on the river after being swept away last month and earlier this month.

A Denver spokesman also said this coming weekend they may be able to get four vehicles out of the river that got stuck in it while the water levels were high.
