Some Ski Resorts Announce Plans To Extend Their Seasons
COPPER MOUNTAIN, Colo. (CBS4) - The big snowstorm that left dozens of inches of fresh snow in the mountains late in the week was good news for Colorado's ski resorts, and at least one resort will be open longer than originally planned.
Copper Mountain will be open for an extra weekend -- April 22-24.

Winter Park also announced that they will keep the Mary Jane section of their resort open for 13 extra days. Resort spokesman Steve Hurlbert said that is "due to an abundance of March snow."

The Mary Jane side of the mountain will now be open until May 7. (The latest Mary Jane ever stayed open was 1998, when it didn't close until May 25.)
Loveland Ski Area and Arapahoe Basin are typically the last resorts to close for the season, and they haven't set closing dates yet. Most resorts in the state end their seasons in April.
