Some Colorado Ski Areas Get More Than 3 Feet This Week

DENVER (AP) - The latest in a series of storms to hit Colorado this week has brought some more snow to the Rocky Mountains.

Flights were being delayed an average of 30 minutes at Denver International Airport on Friday morning, when a lot of spring break skiers and snowboarders are expected to arrive.

Once they get here, they'll find lots of fresh powder. Some ski resorts are reporting over three feet of snow in the last seven days, which is also good news for the state's water supply.

March is typically the snowiest month in Colorado but the populated Front Range region has been mostly dry until now.
