Snowy Weather Cancels Colorado Legislature

DENVER (AP) — Colorado's snowy weather has prompted the state Legislature to close its doors.

Lawmakers won't be meeting in Denver Monday.

That means lawmakers will have to reschedule a hearing on a contentious bill that would limit penalties on businesses in discrimination cases, such as denying service to gay people.

Lawmakers were also scheduled to consider a bill to repeal Colorado's 15-round limit on ammunition magazines. The limit has already been rejected by the House, but the GOP Senate is advancing a similar proposal.
