Snowy Season Drops Over 200 Inches Of Snow On Foothills Near Denver

By Chris Spears

DENVER (CBS4) - As the 2015-2016 snow season winds down across Colorado the numbers along the Front Range foothills and the adjacent I-25 urban corridor are impressive and indicative of a strong El Niño weather pattern.

In the counties of Larimer, Boulder, Jefferson, Douglas, Broomfield and Arapahoe, more than 80 weather observers from the CoCoRaHS network have reported season-to-date snow totals over 100 inches and three of those topped 200 inches.

"Guess we won't be using our front entrance for a while" say the Bitterlys in Evergreen after a large dose of snow in April.
