Snowmass Councilman Recalled After Jail Cell Destruction

SNOWMASS, Colo. (CBS4)- A town councilman who was captured on video going on a tirade after he was arrested for suspicion of DUI, was officially recalled by voters this week.

Councilman Chris Jacobson was recalled in the special election on Tuesday. It was the first recall election in Snowmass Village.

Residents began to push for his recall after the release of a video that shows Jacobson's bizarre behavior at the Pitkin County Jail following a DUI arrest.

The video shows Jacobson tearing out a section of the cell's wall and pulling wiring out of a light socket. He caused more than $14,000 in damage.

Video posted to YouTube shows the damage.
