Snow Storm Impacts Roads, Flights

DENVER (CBS4) - Sunday's snow storm took a toll on flights in and out of Denver International Airport.

Just after 6 p.m., airport officials say the storm canceled about 15 percent of their daily flights.

"The FAA continues to have a ground delay program in place for Denver, which will space out arriving aircraft into Denver. Those delays are currently averaging about 2.5 hours, according to the FAA," said DIA officials.

The Colorado Department of Transportation hadn't reported any major crashes or road closures due to the storm.

While traffic was mostly light for the morning, Denver Public Works had plows working to clear the roads.

DPW went on to advise drivers to plan ahead and give themselves extra time for their morning commutes.
