Snow Leads To Dangerous Morning Commute
DENVER (CBS4) - Snowfall on Tuesday morning led to a dangerous morning commute across the Denver metro area.
Roads were icy and snowpacked for drivers, and much slower drive times as well as many accidents were being reported.

Bus commuters were given a warning from the Regional Transportation District to expect a slower commute.
Buses traveling on I25/225/US36 are experiencing delays due to icy roads and traffic. Allow extra time for your commute.

Denver Public Works said they had 70 snowplows out clearing snow and applying de-icer to main streets.

Just before 9 a.m. CBS4 was recording a video from the Colorado Department of Transportation camera on the Boulder Turnpike and captured a crash (see video above).
The video shows emergency vehicles on the left shoulder of Highway 36 next to the barrier at Federal Boulevard dealing with a crash. Suddenly in the foreground an armored truck comes out of its lane and smashes into the median.
Luckily, the truck didn't come close to where the emergency vehicles were, and it appeared that the truck was not heavily damaged.
