Smooth Sailing At DIA As East Coast Storm Moves Out
DENVER (CBS4) - The worst of the snow has moved out from the storm that has battered New Jersey and the rest of the East Coast, and travelers at Denver International Airport are experiencing fewer problems.
The storm has left behind problems from Maine to North Carolina, and as the great dig out begins, bitter temperatures have moved in.
The forecast calls for the cold temperatures to stick around for the next seven to 10 days, meaning it could warm up just in time for the Super Bowl featuring the Denver Broncos against the Seattle Seahawks.
At DIA Wednesday morning there were only 14 arrivals and four departures that were canceled, down dramatically from Tuesday. Most were because of the storm, although a few are due to mechanical and staffing problems.
