Small Wildfire Breaks Out In Rocky Mountain National Park

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (CBS4) – A small wildfire broke out inside Rocky Mountain National Park Tuesday afternoon.

According park spokesperson Kyle Patterson, the fire burning one mile north of Grand Lake is estimated at about 5 acres.

There are some closures on the west side of the park, including a few trails.

"We have six people, including personnel from Rocky Mountain National Park, Arapaho National Forest and Grand Lake Fire Protection District who have been part of the initial attack plus a Type III helicopter is on scene," Patterson said in a statement.
