2 Dead In Small Plane Crashes Near Pagosa Springs

PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colo. (AP/CBS4) — Two people are dead after their small plane crashed in a field near Pagosa Springs.

The Archuleta County Sheriff's Office says the plane went down Friday morning and that two people from out-of-state died in the crash. Their names and hometowns have not been released.

FAA spokesman Allen Kenitzer says the plane was trying to land on a gravel road and crashed into a field.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
