Sinkhole In Sheridan That Swallowed Police SUV Could Take A Week To Fix

SHERIDAN, Colo. (CBS4) - Crews on Sunday were still working on a sinkhole that opened up in Sheridan on Friday.

It could take up to a week to repair the sinkhole at the intersection of Santa Fe Drive and West Oxford Avenue. When it first opened the hole swallowed up a patrol car. The officer inside managed to climb out of an open window onto the SUV's roof and out of harm's way.

The city says recent rain caused a pipe to fail, which caused then problem.
