Shooting Victim Dies At Hospital, Suspect In Custody After Crash
DENVER (CBS4)- The victim of a shooting on Friday afternoon died at the hospital on Saturday. Police had the suspected gunman in custody.
Officers rushed to the 5100 block of Clarkson at 5:47 p.m. Friday where they found one victim with several gunshot wounds. That victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but succumbed to injuries on Saturday afternoon.
The shooting suspect took off and crashed the vehicle at Interstate 25 and 23rd Avenue. The ramp from southbound I-25 to 23rd was closed during the investigation.
The suspect was taken into custody. Officers are investigating whether the victim and suspect knew each other.
