Shooting Suspect Crashes, Victim In Critical Condition

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver rushed to the scene of a shooting where they found one victim with gunshot wounds while the suspect had crashed a short distance away.

Officers rushed to the 5100 block of Clarkson at 5:47 p.m. Friday where they found one victim with several gunshot wounds. That victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The shooting suspect took off and crashed the vehicle at Interstate 25 and 23rd Avenue. The ramp from southbound I-25 to 23rd was closed during the investigation.

The suspect was taken into custody. Officers are investigating whether the victim and suspect knew each other.
