Witnesses saw the two suspects hop on an RTD bus. Police stopped the bus and took off a man and a woman.

"There's a lot of police officers up this street, we walk up there's a bus that's kind of just stopped off to the side empty as well," said witness Louis Ortega.

"The increased presence of officers on the 'walk the beat' program as well as an impact team that is assigned to this area to help combat crime were able to get into the area extremely quickly," said Denver Police spokesman Doug Schepman.

Police have not given details as to what led them to the possible suspects.

What happened leading up to the shooting is unknown. The victim's identity has not been released.
