2 Shot, 1 Dead In Ballpark Neighborhood, Denver Police Have Suspect In Custody
DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver took one person into custody following a deadly shooting in the Ballpark Neighborhood on Wednesday. The shooting happened in the 2900 block of North Huron just before noon.
UPDATE: One suspect has been taken into custody. 2 victims, one pronounced deceased, one transported to the hospital. Briefing at 20th & Chestnut in 10 minutes. We will stream the briefing. Investigation in ongoing, road remain closed. #Denver

Police tweeted an update that one victim, a woman, with gunshot wounds had died and another victim, a man, was rushed to the hospital.
Denver police gave an update on the situation shortly before 2 p.m. One person was taken into custody in Jefferson County after investigators received information that the suspect was heading towards the mountains.
Police urged the public to stay away from the area while they investigated the active shooter situation. That scene was cleared by 2 p.m. after the suspect was detained.
The identity of the person taken into custody has not been released. The identity of the victims has not been released.
Police continue to investigate what led up to the shooting and refused to provide details on what type of gun was used.
