Juvenile Shot In Aurora, Police Search For Suspect

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Aurora searched for a suspect in a shooting involving a juvenile male on Thursday afternoon. Investigators say he was shot multiple times.

Aurora Police tweeted about the shooting investigation.

Officers rushed to reports of a shooting at 1:39 p.m. in the 12000 block of E. Parklane Drive. Three schools were placed on lockdown, Park Lane, Paris Elementary and North Middle School for about 90 minutes.

Officers found the juvenile male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries where he remained in stable condition on Thursday evening.

Police said there were multiple known suspects connected to the shooting.

Police later determined that the shooting happened in the 12000 block of E. 30th Avenue.

Neighbors said they heard eight, maybe more shots fired.

"I just heard the gunshots. I thought it was some firecrackers but then I thought, 'No it can't be firecrackers, that's a gun!' It was loud, you can tell the difference," said one neighbor.

There is no suspect information available but police urged anyone who sees anything suspicious to call 911.

All schools placed on lockdown were released from the increased security by 2:25 p.m.
