Shelter in place lifted for Denver neighborhood near 17th and Emerson after suspect arrest
Denver police issued a shelter-in-place for an area near 17th Avenue and Emerson Street for several hours early Friday morning. Investigators told CBS Colorado that they were searching for a robbery suspect.
That suspect was located and taken into custody just before 8 a.m. That suspect had not been identified as of 8 a.m.
Earlier, there was a large police presence in the area as officers worked to contact the suspect. The search began before 5 a.m.
Those residents impacted were urged to stay inside during the shelter-in-place.
