Shelter-In-Place Order Lifted For Some Residents Near Downtown Littleton

LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) - Littleton Police asked residents on Riverwalk Circle between Federal Boulevard and Santa Fe Drive to shelter in place on Tuesday afternoon. Police responded to an person barricaded in a home in that area.

Riverwalk Circle is closed at Prince Street, police say.

At around 3:45 p.m., police stated on social media they are on scene of an active SWAT situation, but the threat is contained. At 6:30 p.m., officials say police took the barricaded person into custody.

They say residents can return home and might still see police investigating, but the area is safe.

Copter4 flew over the scene and saw at least two, possibly three, vehicles involved in a crash.

It appears a silver sedan collided with a red sedan. A pickup truck is also nearby.

Police have not said if the crash is related to the SWAT situation.
