Thornton Shelter-In-Place Order Lifted After Suspect Apprehended

THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4) - Officers with Thornton's SWAT team took a wanted person into custody from a home near 136th and Madison Thursday night.

Earlier in the afternoon, a resident reported shots fired at a home.

When officers got to the home in question, they saw a suspect go back into the home with a weapon.

They quickly set up a perimeter around the house and called in the SWAT team.

The situation was resolved shortly after 9:30 p.m. Thursday, and officers went door-to-door and used Reverse 911 to alert residents the situation was lifted.
