Sex Assault Suspect Who Removed Ankle Monitor Back In Custody

BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) - A sexual assault suspect wanted by authorities after he removed his ankle monitor while awaiting trial is back in custody.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office was looking for Marcus Albert Ruby. Ruby, 25, was out on bond awaiting trial for the charges of sexual assault, aggravated assault, false imprisonment and criminal mischief.

Early Saturday morning, Ruby tampered with the strap of the electronic ankle monitor that he was wearing as a condition of his bond. Ruby removed the monitor which was found Saturday morning in Denver.

Ruby was found in Jefferson County. No other details were released.
