Several Law Enforcement Agencies Investigating Homicide Near Aspen

PITKIN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Several law enforcement agencies including the Secret Service are working to solve a homicide in Pitkin County.

The victim has been identified as Aspen native, Nancy Pfister. Her body was discovered in her home on West Buttermilk Road on Wednesday.

Pfister was in Australia for most of the month and got back in town Feb. 22.

The 57-year-old's death is the first homicide in Pitkin County in 12 years.

Police in Aspen, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, both Pitkin and Garfield county sheriff's offices and the Secret Service are working on the investigation.
