Senator Holds Senate Floor In Protest Of Gorsuch Nomination

WASHINGTON, D.C. (CBS4) - A Democratic senator from Oregon says he plans to hold a marathon speech on the Senate floor in opposition of Judge Neil Gorsuch's Supreme Court nomination.

Senator Jeff Merkley started speaking at around 5 p.m. local time. His staff says he ran 'Ironman Triathlon' in November, insinuating he can continue to speak for hours longer.
