Driver In Custody After Truck Crash On I-225

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - A truck crash that may have been due to a drunk driver caused large backups on northbound Interstate 225 during the Friday morning rush hour.

The crash happened at 2:45 a.m. at the East Alameda Avenue bridge, and only one northbound lane was open for the majority of the rush hour.

After it struck a light pole and a sign, the box truck got stuck between a barrier and the bridge wall.

Emergency crews had to use heavy equipment to get the truck unstuck.

Aurora police said the driver of the truck was in custody and faces possible drunk driving charges. That person so far hasn't been identified.
