SEC: Colorado Woman Defrauded Investors Of $800,000

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is suing a former Colorado Springs woman for allegedly defrauding investors in several states of nearly $800,000 in a smartphone venture.

The Gazette reported Thursday that, according to the suit, Heidi Ann Gamer used investors' money for vacations, shopping, rental housing and other personal expenses.

The SEC suit also names two companies Gamer started: Gamer Economic Systems and Gamer Media Partners.

Gamer's Denver attorney, Bill Leone, said his client hoped to settle the lawsuit.

The SEC filed the suit in Atlanta federal court. Gamer moved to Atlanta to work with software developers there and start Gamer Media Partners.
