Seattle's Gum Wall To Get First Cleaning In Decades

SEATTLE, Wash. (CBS4) - The famous Public Market Center in Seattle, Washington has an equally as famous wall -- covered in gum.

The Pike Place Market announced Monday on Facebook that the Gum Wall will get its first scrub down in 20 years.

Apparently the excessive sugar can damage the bricks and it's due for a cleaning.

The marketplace is holding a contest for the public to snap photos of or upload past memories with the sticky wall. Winners will receive a personalized Market Charm.
