Search Underway For Hiker In Rocky Mountain National Park

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (AP) — Rocky Mountain National Park rangers are searching for a hiker who was reported overdue from a mountaineering trek in the area of Longs Peak.

Park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson says 58-year-old Ronald Webber, of Maitland, Florida, reportedly started his hike from the Longs Peak trailhead Tuesday morning and had not returned to his car by Thursday. It's unclear where he was headed, and he was not prepared to spend the night.

The area has experienced high winds and cold temperatures since Tuesday.

Aerial and ground crews started looking for Webber on Thursday afternoon and will continue their search Friday.
