Search Continues For Escaped Sex Offender From Denver

DENVER (CBS4) – There are still no results in finding a convicted sex offender who disappeared from a Denver halfway house.

Eric Eugene Hartwell, 51, is now the target of a nationwide manhunt. He removed his ankle monitor on Friday.

Hartwell is supposed to be under lifetime supervision for a series of crimes. That includes a 1991 conviction in Washington state for raping a 6-year-old.

Hartwell has cut off his ankle monitor in the past.
